Paco Gonzales holds Lazare Michel, age 12 (all the chilren's last names are Michel because that is the name of the orphanage director) ride a horse during an equestrian therapy session with Athletic Club Centre Equestre manager Paco Gonzales. For two years Gonzales has been doing equestrian therapy with young people with disabilities from the Wings of Hope orphanage in Fermathe. Gonzales, formally a professional horse jumper, was inspired to start doing equestrian therapy after an accident left him unable to walk for two years. Gonzales says the children have been transformed by the horse riding and some have become more emotionally stable. One of the children, Vivian Michel, has improved her ability to walk. All of the children have learned how to ride.
